How Do Infants Communicate ?

Introduction 
Infants communicate by smiling, crying, kicking and by responding to loud sounds and voices. Infancy is the first and the youngest stage of a human being. It lasts for one year. An infant cannot speak but can express his emotions by crying, smiling, or moving hands and legs. Parents help their infant baby develop his/her language skills by reading stories, singing and by talking to them.

Post 4 Months
By four to six months, and infant learns to make more sounds and utter words with a lisp.

Development
At 3 years of age, children start speaking fluently and join in family conversation. At around 6 years of age, children learn to read and write.

The world infant is derived from the Latin word in-fans, which means unable to speak.

Wails and Moans
Baby attract attention of their parents by wailing and moaning.
